when I started on this social media journey, i made it clear i wasn’t up for revealing too much, just glimpses of my art. it wasn’t about me AT ALL!
my kweenie’s were to be in the spotlight, maybe my hands at a push & a wee hint of my artistic process. that was supposed to be it
but, well… let’s just say i’ve loosened my social media chastity belt - & then some!
i'm a long way from my first brush with Insta, where i tiptoed around it like a deer in the social media headlights, unsure if i wanted to be seen at all
now here i am, after writing my “how far would you go on a first date” blog post, flashing my knickers & for those on my VIP list? ooft, i’ve gone beyond – i might have actually dropped my knickers & gone full frontal!
‘expose’ myself?
so, what have i done to ‘expose’ myself?
well for one, just last week, i sent my coronated VIP kweens an ‘oversharing’ email, which after sending i waited for my brain to self-destruct & my nipples to fall off – spoiler alert it didn’t happen!
not only that but i've broken my own rule & actually got in front of the camera - not just my work, but me kweenie, crown & all
do you know how long i spend checking those angles, sweating over every
"does my bum look big in this"
moment?
most of the time i'm only filming my f*cking head, but fear does that – it makes you ridiculously overestimate every ‘risk’
what's next on the list of fear? doing voice overs & talking to the camera, wtaf! you read it here 1st!
sneaky wee mother trucker
according to Holly Tucker (founder of ‘not on the high street’ & ‘holly & co’), fear is a sneaky wee mother trucker that
“shows up as procrastination, perfectionism, even imposter syndrome”
& i’d add ‘visibility phobia’ to that list too, for sure
but as Holly says, bravery isn’t about being fearless; it’s taking action despite it. 100% true dat!
studies show that over 60% of business owners say fear holds them back, but Holly’s approach to facing it has inspired me
she says that naming our fears takes their power away. so, i did just that - & the difference is night & day
my biggest fear
vulnerability was my biggest fear, but by naming it i've realised that staying quiet about what goes into my art wasn’t helping me grow, or helping kweens like you really get what kweenie is all about
so, i've shared my process of me creating my latest collection of work through glimpses & highlights in reels on insta & written blog posts on "selling my soul"
but my coronated VIP kween subscribers will get the real scoop when my latest collection is ready to drop & an exclusive on the full process of its creation too, with all the grit behind the glam!
this is the inspiration for my latest collection
kweenie rebellious unapologetic painted collage pop art portrait original
featuring Dorothy Dandridge - "wing gal"
so, if you’re ready for the real, unfiltered kweenie vibe, then come have your coronation & become a kween or you can follow me on socials for the wee snippets & highlights?
chillin’ TF out
oh & just between me & you i've decided that bravery is about more than facing fears; it’s about continuing to show up - headshots, big bums, knickers, chastity belts & all!
either way, i’m here, showing up, learning to chillin’ TF out just as i am
love you, bye
kx
PS things i've learned whilst giving fear the full moon:
- weird thing about bravery is when you are doing it right it feels like fear!
- my fear of showing too much or messing up still whispers in the background, but it’s a whisper & fear can GTF!
- it's all learning & it’s no bad thing for my kweens to learn with me, right?
- taking action means you’re kicking fear square in the baws!

Sometimes facing that fear can be quite exhilarating. You’ve got this Kween Bee. You are bloody awesome, your artwork is fantabulous and keep showing up in whatever way feels right for you! 😘 x
Love your honesty – we are all afraid of something or everything! However fear not… you are a bad ass Kween!
Short and sweet but still packs a punch! Love your monthly monologues ❤️
Another epic piece of laugh-laden prose… and another great message to your subjects! I do really look forward to these monthly instalments x
