i guess this is where i spill my guts...
creating is like my therapy, & i proudly dub myself an introverted extrovert! i spill my innermost thoughts & fears onto the canvas, turning life's rough patches into a playful world of colour & symbols whilst i kinda hide behind a dazzling cast of characters
so...
my journey begins with a wild notion swirling in my mind that i "NEED" to get out, a concept that links a series of works through vibrant colours & shared themes. i love scattering repetition of imagery & patterns into each collection, adding a wee bit of ubiquity (i had to google that!) to my creations. think of my art as a mashup of urban pop art & a fun personality tug-of-war, with one side bursting with outgoing, vibrant chaos, & the other, a quieter, mysterious soul

imagine this: i kick off with a black & white photo, which i transfer to my paper. but here's where the real fun begins. i dabble with colours, adding pre-printed papers, hand-painted patterns, text & sometimes even going a bit rogue with stencils & freehand strokes. expect bold, intense colours swirling in hypnotizing contrasts, messing with your emotions, whilst creating a whirlwind of vibrancy. then, i weave everything together using collage & montage techniques, creating layers of visual excitement. oh, & if you spot a touch of gold leaf, think of it as the glistening cherry on top
just between us...
now, here's a wee secret i'll share with you: sometimes, when things take an unexpected turn (code for when it all goes wrong), i fully embrace & roll with the chaos. i might smear on some acrylics, spray paint, or collage over everything - except maybe my black & white photo, literally giving my artwork extra depth, both in spirit & in form
